New Vikings DE Yannick Ngakoue excited to be in Minnesota

Newest Minnesota Viking Yannick Ngakoue met with local reporters via Zoom for the first time, Friday morning.

Ngakoue was traded to the Vikings earlier in the week. He first practiced with the Vikings yesterday. Yesterday’s practice was actually Ngakoue’s first practice in all of 2020, following a contract dispute with his former team, the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Ngakoue said he is excited to be in Minnesota, excited to be paired up with defensive end Danielle Hunter, excited to work with co-defensive coordinator Andre Patterson, and he also spoke about why No. 91 is so important to him. Jalyn Holmes switched to No. 90.
