Zimmer, Vikings players discuss Week 1 loss to Packers

The 43 points and 522 yards Green Bay hung on the Vikings in Week 1 at U.S. Bank Stadium are both high water marks in the Mike Zimmer era.
No team in the seven seasons since Zimmer took over has reached the offensive stratosphere Aaron Rodgers and his Packers did in a 43-34 season opening win over the Vikings.

The statistical disparity in the first half was staggering:
- Yards: GB 271, MIN 97
- First Downs: GB 18, MIN 7
- Total Offensive Plays: GB 44, MIN 17
- Time of Possession: GB 22:45, MIN 7:15
After completing passes to Adam Thielen on the first two plays of the game, Kirk Cousins was just 1-for-3 the rest of the half – with the lone completion coming in a two-minute drill late in the second quarter.
The numbers evened out a bit in the second half, but along the way Rodgers connected on 32 of 44 passes for 364 yards and four touchdowns.

Packers receiver Devante Adams caught a franchise record-tying 14 passes for 156 yards and two touchdowns.
Thielen caught a pair of fourth quarter touchdowns to help the final score look more respectable. He had 6 catches for 100 yards.
Dalvin Cook and Alexander Mattison each ran for 50 yards. Cook scored two touchdowns.
The Vikings defense did not record a sack on Aaron Rodgers and only managed two "hurries" throughout the game.
