Stillwater girls cross country team has a strong showing against Roseville

The Stillwater Ponies finished 1-2-3 to defeat the Roseville Raiders in girls cross country on Friday at the Lake Elmo Park Reserve. The young Ponies were powered by a trio of sophomores that got off to a great start and never looked back. In the end, it was Brooke Elfert who crossed the line first at 19:35 followed by teammates Morgan Peterman and Avery Braunshausen who rounded out the top three finishers.
"I’m so happy, it was a great day for me, but honestly I’m happier that our team had a great race. I love how we run as a team, we push eachother to do our best and today we had a great day," said Stillwater sophomore Brooke Elfert.

The sixth ranked Ponies were without senior Analee Weaver on Friday, Weaver will be attending Brigham Young University following graduation.
