Jose Berrios looked every bit a #1-starter and Randy Dobnak made a case for a spot in the Twins rotation as the two pitchers combined for 9 strikeouts in a scoreless four-inning intrasquad game at Target Field on Wednesday night.

Berrios struck out five while allowing three hits and a walk. Dobnak rang up four strikeouts with just two hits allowed.

Byron Buxton made a stellar play in center field, ranging for a ball while also avoiding teammates warming up in a very non-traditional scrimmage. Having just returned from the birth of his second child, Buxton went 1-4 with a walk at the plate.

The game did not use a traditional lineup, instead generally allowing groups of three players to cycle through several times before rotating out.

Josh Donaldson singled in his first "live" at-bat in Target Field as a Minnesota Twin.

The Twins used a computer-based umpire to call balls and strikes, earning mixed reviews from batters, catchers and pitchers.

The Twins second intrasquad game of "MLB Summer Camp" will be at Target Field on Thursday at 6:10pm. Jake Odorizzi and Lewis Thorpe are expected to start with Sergio Romo and Taylor Rogers planned to close what should be a five-inning game.
