Lakeville North-grad, former Gopher Rachel Banham awaits Lynx debut

Rachel Banham shared the excitement Minnesota basketball fans felt when she joined the hometown Lynx this offseason. Due to the ongoing health crisis, she – and those fans – are still anxiously awaiting her debut.

After spending her first four pro seasons with the Connecticut Sun, Banham was traded to the Lynx.

With the start of the season delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic, Lynx players have yet to practice as a team this season. Banham’s in-person contact with her new teammates has been limited to small group workouts that preceded the official start of the training camp and March’s stay-at-home order.
