He doesn’t know when – or if – it will happen, but Minnesota Wild interim head coach Dean Evason is doing all he can to be ready for the NHL’s decision to resume the 2019-20 season.
Sporting a beard worthy of a deep playoff run, Evason chatted with the media via a video chat on Wednesday afternoon.

Evason says he initially devised a quick 3-day ‘minicamp’ that would prepare his team to resume the season. However, as the shutdown due to the coronoavirus pandemic has continued, he’s revised that to a ten-day plan.
He admits there’s no way to know if or when he’ll be able to put that plan into action.
Evason says he’s remained in MInnesota during the shutdown and continues to do video work on prospects as well as maintaining communication with his players, coaching and support staff.
