State Hockey: Hermantown topples St. Cloud Cathedral in 1A semifinals

After skating to a 5-5 tie earlier in the season, Hermantown defeated St. Cloud Cathedral, 6-2, at the Class A boys hockey state tournament on Friday, March 6 at the Xcel Energy Center.
Hermantown spread out their scoring getting goals from six different players.
Senior forward Zach Kilen and junior defender Joey Pierce led the Hawks (23-3-4) in scoring, each with a goal and two assists.
Junior goalie Grant Martin had 41 saves in the game for St. Cloud Cathedral (24-4-1), including 21 saves in the second period.
