A source told KSTP Sports on Tuesday evening that the Minnesota Twins have acquired starting pitcher Kenta Maeda as part of a three-team trade with the Boston Red Sox and the Los Angeles Dodgers. Former MVP Mookie Betts and former Cy Young Award winner David Price are heading to the Dodgers from Boston.
Maeda, a Japanese native, has spent his entire career in the MLB with the Los Angeles Dodgers. He sports a 3.87 career ERA.
Multiple national reports say the Twins will send pitcher Brusdar Graterol to the Boston Red Sox as another part of this trade.
Slow fingers. Can confirm @Ken_Rosenthal report of Kenta Maeda coming to #MNTwins. Further proof that the Twins are all-in in 2020.
