Dawson Garcia honored at McDonald’s

Dawson Garcia is one of three Minnesotans named McDonald’s All-Americans this year and he celebrated that honor at his hometown McDonald’s on Thursday night.

Garcia, along with his Prior Lake boys basketball teammates, enjoyed a ceremony at the McDonald’s in Prior Lake.

Garcia will play his college basketball at Marquette, but not until he tries to lead Prior Lake to their first state tournament appearance since 1978.

Garcia, along with Paige Bueckers of Hopkins and Jalen Suggs of Minnehaha Academy, will play in the McDonald’s All-American games on April 1 in Houston, Texas.
