KSTP sports director Joe Schmit is with the Twins in Fort Myers at spring training. He featured Miguel Sano during the 5 p.m. news, who if he stays healthy, could hit over 40 homers this year.
He’s also transitioning from third base to first base, and so far, so good.

The Twins signed Sano to a 3-year, $30 million extension in the winter. With Josh Donaldson in the mix, Sano has been asked to play first base. With Opening Day not until March 26, he has time to work on everything that entails making the move across the diamond.
