Shots fired at Metro Transit park and ride in Brooklyn Park, no injuries
A group of racers in a parking ramp starting shooting at each other in Brooklyn Park early Monday morning, police said.
According to the Brooklyn Park Police Department, at 2:22 a.m., officers were called to the area along 95th Avenue North after receiving a report of shots fired.
A witness in the area told authorities that a group of racers at a Metro Transit park and ride were shooting at each other.
Once officers arrived at the scene, they located numerous shell casings on the top level of the park and ride and multiple shell casings to the west of the park and ride on the ground level.
Hennepin County Crime Lab processed the scene. The preliminary information gathered indicated two separate groups were shooting at each other, police said.
No one was hurt. The incident is under further investigation.
