3 rescued on Middle Fork Crow River in Kandiyohi County

Three people were rescued from a river in Kandiyohi County on Wednesday.

According to the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office, at about 3:35 p.m., the sheriff’s office received a report of three people stranded in tubes who were trying to float down the Middle Fork Crow River, just east of Lake Calhoun in Irving Township. The ages of the three ranged from 14 to 25 years old.

All three got stuck in the weeds on the river and when they tried to free themselves, two of the three had "medical episodes," according to police.

Everyone was rescued and transported to Rice Hospital. There is no word as of Thursday morning on the conditions of the three involved.
