Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards to represent team at NBA Draft Lottery
Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards will represent the team virtually at Tuesday’s NBA Draft Lottery.
The team made the announcement Monday, adding the lottery is set for 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
"I look forward to representing the Timberwolves and state of Minnesota at this year’s draft lottery," Edwards said in a statement Monday. "I remember the excitement for me during draft lottery and draft time last year and I hope to bring good luck for our fans tomorrow."
The Timberwolves are entering the draft with a 27.6% chance of landing a top-three pick that would be kept by the franchise. Ending the season with a .319 win percentage, the team has 9.0% odds to land the first pick, 9.2% for the second and 9.4% chance for the third selection, according to the team. If the pick is No. 4 or below, it goes to Golden State from the D’Angelo Russell-Andrew Wiggins trade.
The NBA Draft is set for July 29.
