Red Wing man charged in death of 2-year-old pleads guilty
A Red Wing man charged in the death of a two-year-old pleaded guilty Monday.
Court records show Adam Travis pleaded guilty to second-degree manslaughter.
According to a criminal complaint, first responders were called to a Red Wing residence on Nov. 28 on the report of an unresponsive two-year-old. When officers arrived, they met Travis, who said the child choked while eating a chicken nugget. Travis said he was watching the child while his girlfriend was at work.

The complaint said the child later died at a hospital.
On Nov. 30, a medical examiner said the child may have choked," but that was not the cause of death," and added that the injuries were, "consistent with the child being shaken."
The complaint said Travis later told the detective that he shook the child.
