One of two lawsuits blaming Lakeville area schools for a deadly "Nerf War" car crash in 2015 was dropped recently.
The lawsuit was dropped after the man at the center of the suit died.
Alexander Hughes was driving a truck with two other students when his truck crossed the centerline and ended up in a ditch as they were playing the "Nerf War," game according to reports.

Hughes' skull was fractured, and he received a traumatic brain injury that had paralyzed the left side of this face.
The two passengers in his vehicle died from the incident.
In 2018, Hughes filed a lawsuit alleging the district allowed the game on school property, but Hughes died unexpectedly last November at his home in California.
The families of the two teens killed in the crash are also suing the district, and that case is ongoing.
