Vikings RT O’Neill hopes to sign long-term extension

Now the senior leader of the starting offensive line with Riley Reiff’s departure, Brian O’Neill hopes to be a Viking long-term.

O’Neill talked to reporters this week, as Organized Team Activities ramp up and will segue into a mandatory minicamp June 15-17.

O’Neill is entering the final year of his 4-year rookie contract and hopes to sign an extension, preferably before training camp starts, KSTP hears. Talks are expected to pick up soon between O’Neill’s agent and the Vikings’ front office.
