St. Thomas advances to championship series of DIII College World Series
The University of St. Thomas baseball team rallied for a win again on Sunday to reach the best-of-three championship series at the Division III College World Series.
The Tommies scored three runs in the top of the ninth inning to beat No. 1 ranked Washington University (Missouri) 6-4 on Sunday in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. It’s the fifth comeback in the last five games for St. Thomas.
St. Thomas (37-8) moved to 3-0 in the College World Series and 8-1 in all NCAA tournaments.
If Salisbury (Md.) wins later Sunday, it will face St. Thomas. If the Gulls lose, they play a rematch game Monday to determine St. Thomas’ opponent.
