Tommies drop first game in DIII championship series

Salisbury beat St. Thomas 6-1 in game one of the Division III baseball championship series on Monday in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Salisbury (Maryland) had 12 hits in the game and ran their winning streak to 13 games.

The Tommies now need to win twice on Tuesday to win the DIII Championship. Game two of the best-of-three series is set to start at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday. If St. Thomas wins that game, the deciding game three would be later Tuesday evening.
