Vikings superfan Millie Wall dies at 102

Beloved superfan Millie Wall, known as "Grandma Millie," died Thursday at age 102, according to her family.

Her granddaughter, Ashley Wall, shared the news in a post on Twitter.

"It is with great sadness that I announce my Grandma Millie passed away earlier today at the age of 102. She was a remarkable woman who lived a beautiful life filled with faith, family, kindness, laughter, & love," the post read. "She will be so missed by so many & she will never be forgotten."

"Grandma Millie" became well-known during the team’s run in the 2017-18 season.

Vikings.com also featured her last year as one of the team’s greatest fans.

Additionally, Millie was named the Vikings’ Fan of the Year for the 2020 season, and her granddaughter Ashley represented her at the NFL Draft in Cleveland.

Wall told Vikings.com she’d been a fan of the Vikings since the franchise was founded in 1961. She was set to turn 103 on July 4.

The Vikings tweeted, "Our hearts are broken to hear of the passing of Grandma Millie.

"Millie, who was named one of our 60 Greatest Fans and our 2020 Fan of the Year, will certainly be missed."
