A family has been displaced after a fire in Maple Grove.
The fires started around 2 a.m. near 108th Place North and Quaker Lane North.
Flames could be seen along the roof.
The fire was extinguished and no one was hurt, however, crews told 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS the heat and humidity made it more challenging.
"Once you throw on 65 pounds of gear and you’re wearing basically this insulated shell, you go through a lot of water really quickly and heat up really quickly," Maple Grove Fire Chief Tim Bush said. "It’s a lot of work so that’s why we need the extra help."
About 40 firefighters were assisting at the scene from departments in Osseo, Anoka, Champlin, and Dayton.
