39-year-old victim identified in deadly north Minneapolis shooting

A 39-year-old woman who was killed in a shooting in north Minneapolis on Monday has been identified.

According to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office, Samantha Javae Taylor, of Minneapolis, died of a gunshot wound to the head.

The shooting happened on the 700 block of West Broadway Avenue at about 6:28 p.m. Police found Taylor dead at the scene. Another victim showed up at North Memorial Medical Center and, as of Monday, was in critical condition.

An initial investigation indicates that a male suspect shot the two victims and then ran away. There have been no arrests announced in relation to this case.
