Western Wisconsin teacher arrested, charged after report of student receiving inappropriate photos
A western Wisconsin teacher was arrested Wednesday after an investigation into reports that she had been sending inappropriate pictures to a student.
The Buffalo County Sheriff's Office said it was requested to investigate the report Friday by the Cochrane-Fountain City School District.
The sheriff's office said deputies took 34-year-old Heather Treague into custody Wednesday. Authorities said it is not believed sexual contact occurred between Treague and anyone under the age of 18.
WXOW, an ABC affiliate in La Crosse, reported that Treague has since been charged in Buffalo County with a felony count of exposing genitals/pubic area/intimate parts to a child.
