Melrose man killed in tractor accident

A Melrose man died Friday after a tractor accident in Melrose Township.
The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office said it received a report of an accident in the 36000 block of County Road 186 at about 5:21 p.m. on Friday.
Responding officers found a man entangled and trapped in the power take-off shaft of the tractor he was using. The man, identified as 32-year-old Keith Deane Kingsley, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The sheriff’s office said Kingsley had been operating the tractor and pulling a trailer while sanitizing the interior of a turkey barn.
The incident remains under investigation.
