West St. Paul man pleads guilty to armed robberies of 8 metro businesses
A West St. Paul man pleaded guilty Thursday to the armed robbery of several Twin Cities restaurants and gas stations.
The U.S. Attorney's Office said Delfonzo Denell Wallace, 30, entered the plea to eight counts of interference with commerce by robbery in U.S. District Court in Minneapolis.
According to his plea and court documents, between June 14 and Oct. 10, 2019, Wallace robbed eight separate businesses, including Starbucks, Speedway, Wendy's, Shuang Hur Supermarket, McDonald's, and Spitz restaurant.
The attorney's office said Wallace used actual force and threatened violence against employees to steal more than $15,000. As part of his plea, Wallace agreed to pay restitution to the businesses.
