Federal agencies to offer local law enforcement assistance following threats of violence
Following numerous reports of threats of violence in the days leading up to the inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden, the U.S. Department of Justice announced federal law enforcement will partner will local law enforcement.
According to a news release, the FBI, ATF, U.S. Marshals and Homeland Security Investigations will all provide resources to assist state and local law enforcement.

Those resources will include an FBI-led command post that will share information across law enforcement agencies.
Earlier this week, Gov. Tim Walz mobilized the National Guard to assist with public safety efforts.
