Some businesses in Washington County may be getting help during the ongoing pandemic.

After receiving $5 million from the Legislature, the county is now accepting applications from small businesses and nonprofits for COVID-19 relief.

Michael Lewis, owner of 3P Boxing 24/7 in Woodbury, is applying for a grant.

"How do we make it after the reopening with so many people that we know will never come back through our doors again either because they’re afraid of COVID or their finances have changed?" Lewis said. "So you lose all of that momentum going forward. It just feels good that the county is keeping us in mind and helping us with our businesses."

Businesses in Washington County who are eligible for the grants can receive up to $15,000.
