Being prepared during war and peace, Minnesota Air National Guard conducts training mission

They can be sent around the world at a moment’s notice.

The Minnesota Air National Guard’s 109th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron held a training mission at MSP-International Airport Monday.

The mission simulated helping victims hurt by an improvised explosive device.

The Minnesota Air National Guard says it has to be prepared during times of war and peace.

"We are held to exceed the standard," Senior Airman Jeremy TenEyck said. "The Minnesota National Guard, in particular, has a very high reputation within the National Guard from being a very well-trained unit and so for us to live up to that standard, as well as being able to offer the best care possible, that’s very important for us to complete these training."

Earlier this year, the Minnesota Air National Guard helped during President Biden’s inauguration in Washington, D.C.
