UPDATE: Lakeville Area Schools threat determined not credible
In an update Friday, Lakeville Area Schools stated a reported threat police were investigating was determined to not be credible.
The district had closed facilities on Friday and instituted a day of distance learning in response.
Per the district, students will complete the day distance learning Friday and normal activities are set to resume Saturday. School will resume as normal on Monday, the district stated.

Lakeville’s school district has closed facilities on Friday due to "an active threat."
Lakeville Area Schools said the threat is under investigation by Lakeville Police, and facilities will be closed until further notice.
All students will participate in distance learning on Friday while staff members work remotely.
"With the limited information we have at this time and to support the investigation, please do not report to our school buildings or district facilities until further notice," the district said in a statement posted to its website.
Any students that were already dropped off, including for Kid Zone or Wonder Zone programming, should be picked up immediately. All early childhood programs have been canceled until further notice. The Lakeville Area Schools office is also closed until further notice.
Police said the threat was isolated to schools and isn’t community-wide.
In cooperation with ISD194 and other law enforcement partners, LPD is aggressively investigating a communicated threat to Lakeville area schools, K-12. The threat is isolated to Lakeville schools and is not community-wide. As the investigation continues, we’ll provide updates.
