COVID-19 in Wisconsin: 8 new deaths, 406 new cases
Friday, Wisconsin health officials reported eight new deaths related to COVID-19, moving the state’s total to 6,986 deaths since the pandemic began.
Additionally, the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) reported 76 new hospitalizations, moving the total number of hospitalizations during the pandemic to 30,555.
A total of 607,992 positive cases of COVID-19 have now been confirmed in Wisconsin, with 406 new cases reported Friday.

As of Friday, DHS reports that more than 3.5 million people have been tested in the state.
The state’s seven-day average positivity rate by test is at 2.6%.
DHS said 4.99 million vaccine doses had been administered as of Friday, and over 2.35 million people had completed the two-shot vaccine series.
