Lake City police ask for help finding missing man

Authorities are asking for the public’s help in finding a missing Lake City man.
The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension said 62-year-old John Vater was last seen on Saturday morning walking away from his home.
Since then, Vater’s family hasn’t seen or had any contact with him and they’re concerned about his health.
The BCA said Vater’s last cellphone activity put him in Winona on Saturday.
He’s described as being about 5 feet, 11 inches tall, around 159 pounds with brown eyes and gray hair. He was last seen wearing a dark jacket, gray shorts and a baseball cap.
