Man killed in late-night Minneapolis shooting identified

The man who was killed in a late-night shooting in Minneapolis last week has been identified.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the man as 21-year-old Charles Dwarryl Royston, Jr., of St. Paul.

According to Minneapolis police, officers were called just before 10:30 p.m. to the 3500 block of Girard Avenue North on the report of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found Royston in an alley without a pulse. Police say the suspect fled the scene prior to their arrival.

Paramedics pronounced Royston dead at the scene.

No arrests have been announced in this case.
