If you believe in trends, you have to like the MInnesota Wild’s chances Friday night in Vegas – the franchise has never lost a Game Seven in a playoff series.
Beating the Golden Knights 3-0 in Game Six on Wednesday night in St Paul erased what had been a 3-1 series deficit and set up the fourth Game Seven in Wild history.

In 2003 – the third season of their existence – the Wild won Game Sevens to win consecutive series’ over Colorado and Vancouver in the team’s only run to a Conference Final. They trailed both those series’ 3-1 as well.
They won another Game Seven over Colorado in the opening round of the 2014 playoffs.

If the Wild win Friday, they open the Divisional Final against the Avalanche in Colorado on Sunday night.
Other than the aforementioned seven-game series’, the Wild have only won one playoff series in team history.
They are 4-9 all-time in their thirteen postseason series – the other victory coming in 2015 via a 4-2 series win over St Louis.
