1 injured in single-vehicle crash in Brooklyn Park

A person was injured in a single-vehicle crash early Saturday morning in Brooklyn Park.

According to the Brooklyn Park Police Department, at 2 a.m., officers were dispatched to a single-vehicle crash in the 9400 block of West Broadway.

Officers arrived and located the driver of the vehicle. The driver had a severe injury to her arm and officers used a tourniquet to stop the bleeding. The driver was impaired and not cooperative, said police.

Police also stated officers located a handgun and illegal narcotics in the area of the crash.

The driver was taken to the hospital by ambulance. The incident is currently under investigation.
