St. Paul Farmers’ Market announces Super Bowl, Valentine’s events during winter season

The St. Paul Farmers’ Market in Lowertown announced on Wednesday two events in February— Super Bowl Saturday and Valentine’s Saturday— during the market’s winter season.

Each Saturday, the farmers’ market is open with up to 20 vendors each weekend.

On Feb. 6, the annual Super Bowl Saturday celebration will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Market vendors will feature brats and sauerkraut, meats, cheese, eggs, honey, baked goods, jams and jellies, syrups, salsa, locally roasted and packaged coffee and other specialty foods from independent producers.

Then on Feb. 13, people seeking ideas for a romantic dinner for two will find much to love at the Valentine’s Saturday Market. Vendors will offer succulent, humanely raised meats, cheeses, honey, microgreens, root veggies and more. The farmer’s market says many vendors will offer free recipes for making a memorable Valentine’s dinner at home using local foods, including entree ideas for omnivores and vegetarians, sides and a dessert made using items found at the market.
