COVID-19 in Wisconsin: 8 new deaths, 946 new cases

Monday, Wisconsin health officials announced eight new deaths related to COVID-19, moving the state’s total to 5,699 deaths since the pandemic began.
Additionally, the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) reported 56 new hospitalizations, moving the total number of hospitalizations during the pandemic to 23,784.
A total of 533,917 positive cases of COVID-19 have now been confirmed in Wisconsin, with 946 new cases reported Monday.

As of Monday, DHS reports that more than 3.01 million people have been tested in the state.
The state’s seven-day average positivity rate by person is at 20.6%.
DHS said the state has been allocated 779,800 vaccine doses, so far. Of those, 345,017 had been administered as of Monday.
