Crooners Supper Club adds new safety measures as it prepares for live music shows

Live music is returning to the Twin Cities.

This week Crooners Supper Club in Fridley kicks off live shows with new safety measures in place to protect the audience and performers.

The stage will be surrounded by plexiglass. New heating and air conditioning systems have also been put in place for better ventilation.

Return to concert venues could require proof of negative COVID test, vaccine receipt

Audience members are being asked not to shout their support during the performance but instead clap loudly.

"The artists have asked us instead of hollering or cheering at shows maybe it’s more appropriate right now they use their hands to cheer," Crooners Music Director Andrew Walesch said. "This room hasn’t been open since March, so we are so excited to get people in here and start to fire the music up. It’s very exciting."

Crooners says ticket sales are going well for the new shows.
