COVID-19 in Wisconsin: 49 new deaths, 1,567 new cases

Wisconsin health officials on Friday announced 49 new deaths related to COVID-19, moving the state’s total to 5,860 deaths since the pandemic began.
Additionally, the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) reported 91 new hospitalizations, moving the total number of hospitalizations during the pandemic to 24,154.
A total of 539,915 positive cases of COVID-19 have now been confirmed in Wisconsin, with 1,567 new cases reported Friday.

As of Friday, DHS reports that more than 3.03 million people have been tested in the state.
The state’s seven-day average positivity rate by person is at 19.3%.
DHS said the state has been allocated 846,300 vaccine doses so far. Of those, 476,855 had been administered as of Friday, and 90,668 people had completed the two-shot vaccine series.
