Female pedestrian in critical condition after St. Paul hit-and-run

Police in St. Paul say a pedestrian was injured following a hit-and-run crash Tuesday night.

According to police, the crash occurred at Milford and Rice streets in St. Paul just after 8:30 p.m.

Police reported a 57-year-old female pedestrian was hit by a silver minivan in the area. The woman was taken to Regions Hospital, where she remains in critical condition.

Witnesses reportedly told police the driver of the minivan got out of the vehicle, walked over to the woman and asked if she was OK, and then got back into the vehicle and drove away, westbound on Milford Street.

Police said the driver has not yet been located and that additional information is expected to be released Wednesday, as the investigation continues.
