2 charged in fatal shooting at Bloomington apartment

Two men were charged Wednesday in connection to a shooting at a Bloomington apartment that left one man dead on Monday.

According to Bloomington Police, 26-year-old Mohamed Amin Bayle Idd, of Eden Prairie, is charged with second-degree murder and illegal possession of a firearm or ammunition, and 27-year-old Abdi Bishar Mohamed, of Minneapolis, is charged with aiding an offender and illegal possession of a firearm or ammunition. They’re both in custody at Hennepin County Jail in connection to the death of a 22-year-old man.

Police investigating death in Bloomington; 1 in custody

Bloomington police were called to the 6800 block of West Old Shakopee Road just after 5:30 a.m. on reports of gunshots. After arriving at the scene, Idd and Mohamed were taken into custody.

Police said the victim had been with Idd and Mohamed earlier that night. At some point, a confrontation took place in an apartment formerly leased by Idd. The 22-year-old suffered multiple gunshot wounds and Idd was also treated for gunshot wounds to his upper body before being taken into custody.
