The Minnesota Twins announced on Tuesday that they have placed Luis Arraez on the seven-day Injured List with concussion-like symptoms.
According to the team, Arraez suffered the injury in a home-plate collision when he scored on a Josh Donaldson double in the third inning of Monday night’s win over the Texas Rangers.
He has played in 25 games, hitting .291 (25-for-86) with two doubles, one triple, one home run, 11 RBI, 15 runs scored, 14 walks, and a .398 on-base percentage.
Replacing Arraez will be Nick Gordon, who was recalled by the club on April 23 before being sent back down after three days on the big league roster.
