Man shot in St. Cloud, police investigating

A man was shot and injured in St. Cloud late Wednesday morning.

According to the St. Cloud Police Department, at 11:36 a.m. officers responded to an apartment on the 4000 block of 24th Street South on the report of gunshots in the area.

When officers arrived, they found a man inside an apartment suffering from a gunshot wound.

Officers searched the area, however, it is believed the suspects left prior to officer arrival.

Based on the initial investigation, the shooting is not believed to be random and there is no ongoing threat to the public.
