Maple Grove house fire displaces family

A house in Maple Grove caught on fire early Saturday morning, displacing the family.
According to the Maple Grove Fire Department, the crews responded to a house fire that displaced a family. The parents and two kids were able to exit the home safely, but the family’s pets, unfortunately, did not make it.
Fire officials tell 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS that six pets, two dogs, two cats and two rabbits were lost in the fire.
Tonight’s house fire went to 3+ alarms, with assist from Rogers, Plymouth, Osseo, Brooklyn Park, and LSU from St Louis Park. Family displaced. Parents & kids safe, but unfortunately lost family pets. Cause under investigation. pic.twitter.com/gQ80E2IM0q

Several nearby fire departments helped the scene and no firefighters were injured.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
The Red Cross is helping the family with shelter and immediate needs.
