Litchfield man, son arrested for burglaries at Grove City school

A Litchfield man and his son were arrested on Saturday for burglarizing a school in Grove City.
The Meeker County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to a burglary alarm notification from Atwater Cosmos Grove City School at 12:03 a.m.
After arriving at the scene, deputies set up a perimeter and then did a thorough search of the building. On the roof, they found 42-year-old Dean Peterson and his 18-year-old son, Prestin. Both were taken into custody.
Through investigation, authorities also determined the Petersons were the suspects in two prior burglaries at the school on Nov. 14 and Dec. 5.
Both remain at Meeker County Jail pending formal charges on the burglaries.
