COVID-19 in Wisconsin: Record-breaking 6,141 cases reported, 62 new deaths

Wisconsin health officials on Friday announced 62 new deaths related to COVID-19, moving the state’s total to 2,256 deaths since the pandemic began.

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services also reported 244 new hospitalizations, moving the total number of hospitalizations during the pandemic to 12,554.

A total of 256,065 positive cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Wisconsin, with 6,141 new cases reported Friday.

As of Friday, DHS reports that 2.15 million people have been tested in the state.

The state’s seven-day average positivity rate by person is at 33%.
