Minneapolis Public Schools pauses after-school supports
Monday, Minneapolis Pubilc Schools announced that it will pause its add-on supports for after school due to "the recent significant rise in COVID rates."
The district also announced that after-school community educations service will also be temporarily discontinued.
According to the district, it hopes to have the two programs operating again when the number of positive cases go below 50 and are stable for at least 28 days.
While in-person after-school support for students is being halted, essential school-age care, community provider supports and essential staff will continue to work at district buildings.
