St. Croix Casino Turtle Lake temporarily closes to combat COVID-19 spread

St. Croix Casino in Turtle Lake has temporarily closed to help combat the spread of COVID-19.

The closure began at 2 a.m. Tuesday.

The casino reports it expects to remain closed for 30 days, but a definite reopening date will be announced at a later time.

"The St. Croix Chippewa of Wisconsin have decided that this temporary closure is necessary for the safety and well-being of our guests, team members and our communities to help stop the spread of the COVID-19 virus," a statement on the casino’s website said.

More information will be released at a later time online and on its social media channels, according to the casino.
