State Patrol: Icy conditions Wednesday caused 83 crashes, 54 spinouts in under 6 hours
Following a snowstorm Tuesday, icy road conditions persisted, causing dozens of crashes Wednesday, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
According to the State Patrol, there were 83 crashes from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday. Five of those crashes caused injuries and one caused serious injuries. None of the crashes were fatal, the State Patrol reported.
Meanwhile, there were reports of 54 spinouts and one jackknifed semi truck.

Earlier Wednesday, the State Patrol stated it received reports of 357 crashes and 287 vehicle spinouts in just over 24 hours as snow and ice complicated road conditions for drivers.

The latest November storm dumped as much as 10 inches of snow in Minnesota; 5.5 inches of snow were reported at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport and Brainerd picked up the most snowfall with 10.1 inches.
