Metro Transit: ‘Masks are a must!’

The announcement of new restrictions in Minnesota as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to worsen means updated rules for those riding any Metro Transit public transportation.

Metro Transit said on Wednesday, masks are "a must" while waiting for and riding buses and trains.

Beginning Wednesday, those failing to comply may be subject to police enforcement.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said this week that wearing a mask protects you, not just those around you. Additionally, distancing yourself from others, washing your hands frequently and staying home if you feel ill all work toward the common goal of combatting the virus, Metro Transit says.
