City of Bloomington to residents: Do not feed the turkey at busy intersection
The city of Bloomington is asking residents and visitors to refrain from feeding a turkey that is regularly seen at a busy intersection in the city.
The turkey has been fed by motorists and pedestrians at the intersection of 90th Street at Penn Avenue South, according to the city.
A statement from the city says police continue to receive complaints about traffic and safety issues at the intersection related to the turkey.
City officials say as the turkey has come to expect food, and has become more aggressive, which could lead to the turkey being hit by a car or causing a crash with other vehicles, bicyclists or pedestrians.
