Minnesota small business offers limited edition ‘State Fair To-Go’ kits for the holidays

In August, just after the Minnesota State Fair sold out its Food Parade tickets, a small business from Minnetonka made some bummed Minnesotans happy with the ‘State Fair To-Go’ kit.

On Tuesday, a limited holiday edition of the food kit was announced.

According to a release, the boxes will have popular state fair foods and new items created for the limited edition kit. Each box also includes a free Christmas ornament from Holly’s Hobby Christmas Shop.

"Our summer box went viral and customers have been asking about sending State Fair To-Go as holiday gifts," said Josh Zamansky, CEO of State Fair To-Go. "So we designed this limited edition box specifically for gift-giving."

The items in the limited edition boxes are:

• Beef Sticks from The Jerky Shoppe
• Popcorn and kettle corn from Big Pop Gourmet
• Creamy wild rice soup form Olson’s Natural Soups
• Hot cocoa from State Fair Mini Donuts
• Funnel cake mix from Fernie’s Funnel Cakes
• Fried Oreos to make with the funnel cake mix

"COVID is changing the way we celebrate the holidays," said Zamansky. "This holiday edition makes it east to send Minnesota warmth to friends and family near and far."

Limited quantities are available starting Tuesday for $59.95 and the boxes can be shipped to all 50 states.
